Hello, i’m getting back to modding study after took a long break from this game and many things seems to change alot, namely the ability to add mods in a seperate folder. Currently, i’m trying to merge a mod that change item layout with some gameplay overhaul mod and of course its not working. I’m thinking it might have something to do with this modfiles.txt which is inside the gameplay overhaul mod. Can someone give me a basic pointer of what it is? is it important and can i simply edit the merged files name into it?

It’s a list of all the files that are in the mod. It’s automatically generated by the steam uploader. Don’t try to modify it as the uploader won’t recognise it. If the upload corrupts and the modfiles.txt doesn’t include all the files then the game won’t find them and use them. Annoyingly, if it does corrupt you have to upload the whole thing again.

If you’re uploading to the Nexus then you won’t need it.

Ah thanks for the tip. I don’t planning on upload my merged mod, just modifying the mod for my own use. Now i think i solved my problem by simply delete that file. The game now read all the custom skins and changes that i put in the main mod without any error.

Thanks again for the help! ^_^
