This is a thread where I will write dialogue between characters in my play through of Darkest Dungeon. Feel free to tell me what you think or would like to see, and also please tell me if anything i write goes against the canon. I want to stay as close to the actual story as possible.

    Thanks,
    Fish

    Stage Coach, Week 6

Pyre- “So What did you make of the offer. I take it we all received the same one.”

Cambri- “The acceptance of all sounded nice, but I suppose that crusaders will be welcomed as well.”

Poer- “What do you have against the warriors of the church?”

Cambri- “nothing in particular, but they all seem to have something against me.”

Pyre- “If you don’t mind me saying sir I’ve never seen someone like you before.”

Cambri- “It’s quite alright, my name is Cambri. As for what I am the magician could probably explain my “condition” better then I can.”

Mortagne- “Don’t call me a magician.”

Poer- “Then what shall we call you?”

Mortagne- “Mortagne I suppose, and as for Cambri’s *ahem* affliction, I fell you are better off not knowing. You will come to under stand it in due time.”

Poer- “I’ve seen that brand before and I cannot say that I disagree with the occultist”

Pyre- “Fair enough, I find a bit suspense can help one appreciate an outcome.”

Poer- “Jester, I was under the impression we were to bring are own arms. All I see on you is that busted lute you keep tuning.”

    Pyre- “I also have this.”

Poer- “Do you intend to harvest a foe to death?”

    Pyre- “Well actually ye-”

    Poer- “Oh dear Lord.”

Cambri- “Please save us your combat effectiveness speech. An inspiring tune can turn the tide of battle or strike fear in the hearts of an enemy.”

    Pyre- “Thank you, friend.”

Cambri- “Think nothing of it. I don’t believe I’ve caught your name yet.”

Pyre- “Pyre, Pyre, jester for hire.”

    Poer- “Why the rhyme”

Pyre- “I’ve been told it is to be expected of someone in my line of work.”

Poer- “Speaking of lines of work, what say you Mortagne? Are the dark arts able to fight darkness?”

Mortagne- “The simple answer is yes, but-”

Cambri- “I know it all to well”

Mortagne- “I’m a scholar not a madman like the one that cursed you”

Cambri- “That line seems to become thinner everyday for those in your field.”

Mortagne- “anyway, I’ve done rigorous studies into human anatomy and I’ve devised ways to regenerate tissue and heal wounds. I believe it will become useful in our line of work. Now it only seems fitting that I ask what skills you bring to the table Mr….”

Poer- “Poer, I bring my mace, my shield and my experience”

Pyre- “If you don’t mind telling us, what experience?”

Poer- “I’ve served three tours in the Isles during the the last two Hellion revolts.”

Pyre- “I’ve worked many a politician party who say they wished the Isles were never discovered.”

Poer- “Please save me your bureaucracy. I was simply following orders, and it is men who follow orders that change the way of the world. No king nor congress can do anything without men following orders.

Pyre- “My point is that the Great Isle Wars are still a sore spot for Imperials and Isle dweller alike and we are likely to find both where we are heading.”

Cambri- “As if on cue, I think we’ve arrived gentlemen.”

Caretaker- “Ohhhhh my, perfect specimens. Yes, the master will be pleased.”

Poer- “this place is awful, how can anyone stand to live here.”

Caretaker- “Yes the hamlet is in a state of disrepair, but you’d be surprised what you can do with enough crest. Anywho you boys better go to the barracks for some shut eye. The master intends to send you all into the warrens so I hope no one is Kosher, HAHAHAHA!”

Cambri- “Whats that supposed to mean?”

Pyre- “Probably nothing, I know insane when I see it.”

Caretaker- “Oh and monster, one more thing, don’t make eye contact with anyone with a cross painted on their back. WELCOME TO HELL BOYS!”

Mortagne- “Where is he running off to?”

Cambri- “He’s gone that’s all that matters now.”

Poer- “He may be crazy but he’s right, we need sleep. We shall have plenty of time for talk in the morning.”
