Those From Below

ThoseBelow_001

Hi Everyone!

A quick update on our development progress.  We’re thrilled to announce that we’re bringing the 4th dungeon – The COVE – to Pax Prime at the end of this month!  If you’re attending PAX, be sure to stop by our booth and check it out!

Prepping for PAX is a big undertaking, and for that reason we will be releasing the Cove update, titled “Those From Below”, shortly after the show – in September.  The update comes packed with 2 bosses, new monsters, new curios, more narration, and lots of other goodies!  We’re taking the extra time to make sure that the features and content are polished and up to our usual standard.

You can also look forward to a pre-PAX update later this month!

Cheers!

@Sneakypie- Can we expect similar difficulty level in cove as with other dungeons or can we expect to take it up a notch?

I don’t have too many details to offer, but I would expect the same kind of difficulty you’ve been experiencing so far. Of course, this is still EA and tweaks will need to be made before a final release.

New monsters, new dungeon… new Heroes, perchance?

So, it’s September after all? Sad.
Some Cthulhu-kind sea monsters – cant wait for them.
Well, there s nothing we can do to make release faster anyway.

Is the Workshop something that is planned for the future? Also you said that you planned a full release for October. Is this still possible, seeing that the Cove will come at September?

early September it seems. a release in October seems really quick however, we’ll see what happens. i’m intrigued about the pre-PAX update too, will it be an answer to the critics after the Corpse update ?

I found a bug, in the game we can’t equip 2 similar trinkets on a hero…. but we can unequip a trinket to a similar trinket already equip ! it’s not really a bug it’s more a glitch but I think report it could be cool ^^ , and for illustrate I took screenshots.

It’s been delayed to mid-late September. Im assuming around the 20th, but that’s just a theory….

A GAME THEORY lol….but seriously, probably around the 20th I’d guess.

The main mob type are murlo… vodya… I mean fishmen. While I am disappointed with how unoriginal mob type they are, they bring lots of new mechanics. They have a general-basic dude with a harpoon and a sabre, a tanky dude who has a single target bleed, GUARD ABILITY. Their backrow dude is a shaman who HEALS HIS FRONT DUDES, BUFFS PROT and ACC of his dudes and then has a standard stress attack. Another type of dude is water zombie. I didn’t get to see what it does becouse the player in the vid 2 shot it. They all have high bleed res, but low blight res and ELDRITCH tag (the zombie is also UNHOLY). There is also a sea slug beast with low health and lots of PROT (like pre-patch maggots) and a jellyfish beast which is highly annoying with it’s electric stun attack.

Traps are very interesting – the animation is a sea preadator with tentacles. It deals physical damage and debuffs your DDG and ACC for 4 rounds.

The Siren boss is a mix between Necro and Hag – she summons the tanky fish dudes at the start, then does a seduce move (you can roll resistance on it, I think debuff one, but I’m not sure) – it steals one of your party members and puts him into enemy backrow. He “fights for his queen” for 2 rounds, then appears in your 4th slot. Other than that she has nasty AoE stress and AoE bleed with sophisticated, fucked up in the right way animation.

Holy crap those fishmen are crazy! By the looks of this, it’s gonna be the hardest dungeon so far.
