Darkest Dungeon Presents: The Plague Doctor

With the release of Darkest Dungeon on iPad and The Crimson Court hitting PS4/VITA we wanted to share yet another installment of our comic series, Darkest Dungeon Presents.

These comics tell the back story of the various classes the players can use in parties as they explore the dungeons around the Hamlet. Issue #11 features The Plague Doctor.

I love how the blood splatter on the wall around her head resembles the stress halo.

A mad scientist who is driven only by her hunger for knowledge, I really love it and all small details in there.

The mad scientist is finally unmasked. I really do love these comics. They are short but very evocative. You have to give Red Hook credit. It’s been quite some time since they released the game and yet they are still putting in hours of hard work to continue their world building.

She has a bloody handkerchief as well. Perhaps she is infected with the same thing that her professor was. Maybe she is also infected.

Well her item set from the DLC suddenly became way more interesting.

Wow interesting comics, considering almost all the comics so far have incorporated the hero-trinkets from the Crimson Court DLC. Makes you wonder what the Vestel’s backstory is… Salacious Diary (It means “dirty/risque”)… But none the less. Amazing work, love the lore.

So we can infer from her trinkets that she was banished from the university because of dissecting her own professor (simple #40). THOSE FOOLS AT THE UNIVERSITY!!!
